This new award, sponsored by the Australian Drug Foundation, seeks to recognise best practice across the community sporting and recreation sector for the responsible management and prevention of harm relating to alcohol and other drugs. The award is open to all community sports clubs, codes or associations.

Judging criteria
How has the club created a culture that focuses on young people, families, sport and community activities while discouraging alcohol and other drugs consumption?
How has the club achieved a positive change in the its community profile?
How has the club attracted increased junior, family and community participation in community and sporting activities?
How has the club contributed to reduced alcohol and other drug related problems in the club and the local community e.g. alcohol related violence?
How has the club enhancing its financial viability through increased membership, sponsorship (non alcohol-related) and diversified income?
